Keeping track of your vehicles' maintenance

The car needs its inspection, the e-bike has been squeaking for a while and the bike chain should have been oiled last month. In the Domeaz garage everything with wheels is together, with whatever is due first.

Type a plate or take a photo

Take a photo and the app recognises the vehicle, including a bike or kick scooter, and reads a clearly visible number plate from any country. For Dutch number plates Domeaz also looks up make, model, year, fuel, colour and the inspection date for free in the open register of the RDW, the Dutch vehicle authority. Elsewhere you fill in the details yourself, and the plate stays as it is on the vehicle.

Maintenance by date and by mileage

You get a maintenance plan that suits the vehicle: a service every year or every so many kilometres, the inspection, tyre pressure, a bike's chain, winter tyres. You adjust or switch off each item. Keep the odometer up to date and Domeaz works out roughly when the next service is due, with a reminder beforehand.

Services, costs and the garage alongside

Record a service or repair with the reading, what it cost and where it was done. The costs count towards your yearly overview, and on the contact of the garage or bike shop you see each visit with its cost. Insurance, road tax or a lease you link to the vehicle as a contract.

Frequently asked questions

Is the garage free?
Yes. For free you keep track of two vehicles, with reminders. The photo scan can be tried three times for free. With Premium, vehicles and the photo scan are unlimited. A sold vehicle does not count.
Does it work for bikes and e-bikes?
Yes. The garage is for anything with wheels: car, motorbike, scooter, moped, bike, e-bike, fat bike and kick scooter. An e-bike, for example, gets a yearly service or one every 2,000 km, and the chain every 300 km.
Can I look up a number plate outside the Netherlands?
No, the free lookup only works for Dutch number plates, through the open register of the RDW. Elsewhere you fill in the details yourself, and the inspection carries its local name, for example HU/TÜV in Germany or ITV in Spain. You switch it on and enter the date yourself.
Does my car go along if I hand over the home?
No. Vehicles belong to people, not to the home, and never go along in a home handover.
