Cookies and storage
Last updated: 9 October 2026
In short: this website does not set cookies. The app does store a few things on your device, but only what’s needed to work. Here’s exactly what.
1. This website
There are no cookies on domeaz.app. No advertising cookies, no preference cookies, and therefore no consent banner — there isn’t one because there’s nothing to ask consent for.
Statistics. We do measure how many people visit the site and which pages they view, and whether they click through to the App Store or Google Play, using Vercel Web Analytics. This happens without cookies: nothing is placed on your device. To count unique visitors, Vercel derives a non-reversible code from your connection details once per day; that code is different the next day and cannot be traced back to you. We see numbers and origin, not people.
Dark mode follows your operating system’s setting. We don’t store anything for this — there’s deliberately no switch on the site, precisely so nothing needs to be stored.
2. The app
The app is not a website and doesn’t use cookies, but it does store data on your device. That’s technically different, and it falls under the same rules: it’s allowed without consent as long as it’s strictly necessary for a service you asked for.
2.1 Necessary
| What | For what | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your login session | So you don’t have to log in again every time you start the app | Until you log out |
| Language and theme choice | So the app looks the way you set it up | Until you change it |
| Last opened home | So you land back in the right home | Until you change it |
| Offline copy of your data | So you can read your record without a connection | At most 24 hours, and gone as soon as you log out |
| Upload queue, including the files themselves | So a photo or document you add without a connection isn’t lost | Until it’s sent |
| Small preferences | Whether you’ve seen the introduction, which suggestions you’ve dismissed, whether we’ve already asked you for a rating | Until you remove the app |
| Push token | So we can send you reminders | Until you turn off notifications, delete your account or remove the app |
The offline copy sits in your operating system’s preferences storage (on Apple
UserDefaults, on Android SharedPreferences), the upload queue in the app’s local
database (IndexedDB). Neither is separately encrypted by Domeaz; both fall under your
device’s standard encryption.
2.2 Third-party services in the app
| Service | For what |
|---|---|
| Firebase Cloud Messaging | Delivery of push notifications |
| RevenueCat | Tracking whether your subscription is active |
| Sentry | Error reports when something goes wrong |
| Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In | Signing in without a password, if you choose to |
Each of these services needs its own technical identifier to work — a push token, a subscriber id, a sign-in credential. They are not used to track you for advertising.
2.3 What is not in there
No advertising SDKs, no analytics SDK in the app, no advertising identifier from your device, and no tracking across other apps or websites. That’s why Domeaz never asks you on iOS for permission to track you: that permission isn’t needed.
3. Your choices
- Notifications you turn on or off in the app under Me, and in your phone’s settings.
- The offline copy and your session disappear when you log out or remove the app.
- Statistics on the site can be blocked with a tracker blocker; there’s nothing else to turn off, because nothing personal is recorded.
4. Changes
If anything changes about what we store, we’ll update this page. The date at the top shows the latest change.
