Terms of service

Last updated: 25 September 2026

These terms apply to using the Domeaz app and this website. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who we are

MJoy-IT VOF, trading as Domeaz — Abeelweg 156, 3053 PD Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce 42007160, VAT NL869255897B01. Reachable at hello@domeaz.app.

2. What Domeaz is

Domeaz is an app in which you keep track of your home’s administration: devices with warranties, contracts with notice periods, maintenance and chores with reminders, contacts and documents. You can share a home with housemates.

Domeaz is a tool to help you remember, not a guarantee. We are not responsible for a missed notice period, an expired warranty or overdue maintenance. A notification may fail to arrive because a device is offline, notifications are turned off, an email lands in spam, or a third-party service has an outage. So check important deadlines yourself too.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old. When you register, you confirm that you are 18 or older and agree to these terms and the privacy policy. You create an account with a valid email address and a password, or you sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens through your account. If you think someone else can access it, change your password immediately.

4. What you enter

What you enter stays yours. You only give us the right to store and display that data to the extent needed to deliver the service — for example, to the housemates you share a home with.

You are responsible for what you enter. Do not enter data you’re not allowed to record, and keep in mind that data about other people — a tradesperson’s details, a housemate’s name — is also personal data.

If you share a home, the other members see everything in that home. Admins can add and remove members. So think carefully about who you invite.

What you may not upload

Do not enter content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s copyright or another right you’re not allowed to use, or that contains harmful code. We do not review the contents of your record in advance — that would mean reading along in shared homes, and we don’t want that. If we receive a well-founded report about unlawful content, we can remove it and, if it recurs, restrict or terminate the account. You can send such a report to hello@domeaz.app.

5. Free and Premium

The free version is not a trial and keeps working. These per-home limits apply to what you can record for free in that home:

Free Premium
Contacts unlimited unlimited
Devices 5 unlimited
Contracts 5 unlimited
Maintenance tasks 5 unlimited
Chores 5 unlimited
Attachments per item 1 unlimited
Home documents 1 unlimited
Smart Scan 3 to try unlimited
Manual finder 3 to try unlimited
Help with a fault 3 to try unlimited
Homes 1 up to 4

These numbers are totals: archived devices and contracts, ended contracts and completed chores all count. Anything in the trash does not count, and completed chores disappear automatically after 90 days.

Reminders are included in both versions. The free AI allowance is a way to try it out: each of the three AI features can be used three times per home for free, once — the allowance does not refill monthly. A follow-up question the app asks itself because your fault description was too vague does not cost any allowance.

Premium itself applies per person, not per home. One subscription removes the limits in every home you’re an active member of, up to four. Besides a subscription, a home can also get Premium via a promo code; that one does apply per home, for all its members.

If you stop Premium, all your data stays in place. You just can’t add anything new above the free limits until you’re back under them or resume Premium. If you have more homes than the free limit at that point, your oldest home stays fully usable and the homes above it become read-only for you: everything remains visible, but adding and editing there requires Premium again. You can always leave a home.

6. Subscription, payment and cancellation

Premium costs €1.99 per month or €19.99 per year, VAT included. Outside the eurozone, the App Store or Play Store shows the amount in your local currency; the price the store shows at the moment of purchase is the one that applies.

The purchase goes through the App Store or the Play Store. They collect payment and send the invoice; we only receive whether your subscription is active. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel.

On iOS you can share a subscription with your family through Apple Family Sharing: one purchase then gives up to six family members their own Premium. You arrange that in your Apple account settings, not in Domeaz.

You cancel with Apple or Google, in your account’s subscription settings — not with us, since we don’t manage the payment and can’t stop it either. If you cancel, Premium keeps running until the end of the paid period.

We announce price changes in advance. If you disagree, cancel before the next renewal.

7. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a purchase made at a distance. For digital services that start immediately, that right lapses once delivery has begun with your express consent — which is the case for a subscription that starts right away.

Refunds always run through the store where you purchased: Apple or Google apply their own refund policy, which can be more generous than what you’re legally entitled to.

8. Smart Scan, the manual finder and Help with a fault

These three features use AI. They suggest something; you confirm it. A brand, model or serial number can be read incorrectly, and a manual that’s found may belong to a different model. Always check before relying on it — especially for a warranty claim.

Help with a fault gives a first, remote assessment based on what you describe and an optional photo. It is not a diagnosis and not a substitute for a technician: the app cannot see, measure or test the device. Only do what you can safely check and understand yourself. Never work on gas, electricity or refrigerant yourself — always call a certified installer for that, even if the advice does not mention it. If you smell gas or burning, or there is water near electrics: switch the device off, leave the room if necessary, and call a professional or the emergency number before reading any further.

Links to manuals and sources point to third-party websites. We have no control over those websites and are not responsible for their content.

9. Availability and changes

We do our best to keep the service available, but don’t promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, outages at suppliers and force majeure can lead to downtime.

We may change, add or remove features. If something changes materially to your disadvantage within a running paid subscription, we’ll announce it in advance and you can cancel.

10. Intellectual property

The app, the website, the name Domeaz and the logo are ours. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them. You may not copy, decompile or resell the app.

The App Store and the Play Store

If you download the app through the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies alongside these terms. If the two conflict, our terms prevail, except where Apple does not allow that. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of that agreement and may enforce it against you, but has no maintenance, support or warranty obligation whatsoever for the app — that obligation is ours; see also § 11 below. Questions about the app stay with us, via hello@domeaz.app.

You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a trade embargo of the European Union, the United States or the United Nations, and are not listed on a denied or restricted party list of any of the three.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, and nothing limits our liability for intent, deliberate recklessness, or death and personal injury caused by our fault.

Beyond that, our liability is limited to what you paid for Domeaz in the twelve months before the event. For a free account, that is zero. We are not liable for consequential damage, such as missed savings or a warranty claim that wasn’t honoured.

You follow the advice from Help with a fault and the results of Smart Scan and the manual finder at your own responsibility, as set out in § 8. We are not liable for damage to your device or your home, or for injury, resulting from following such advice — to the extent the law allows.

Export your data if it matters to you. You can do that in the app, under Me → My data.

12. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app; see delete account. We may suspend or terminate an account in case of misuse, harm to the service or others, or if the law requires it of us. We’ll announce that in advance, unless that’s not possible.

If the service is discontinued, you get at least 30 days to export your data, and we refund prepaid, unused periods on a pro-rata basis.

13. Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the service changes. In case of a major change, we’ll let you know in the app or by email. If you keep using the app, the new terms apply.

14. Governing law and disputes

Dutch law applies. If you have a complaint, email hello@domeaz.app first; we respond within a month and try to resolve it together. If we can’t, the dispute is brought before the competent court in Rotterdam, unless the law gives you, as a consumer, the right to go to a different court, or the mandatory consumer protection law of your own country of residence gives you protection that this choice may not take away — in that case, that prevails.
