Tracking meter readings

The annual bill arrives, or you move, and you go looking for the readings: on a scrap of paper, somewhere in your photos, or nowhere. In Domeaz your meters live with your home, with every reading and its date.

Every meter, with its own registers

You add your meters: electricity, gas, water, district heating or something else, with the meter number if you like. The unit is suggested (kWh, m³, GJ) and can be changed. An electricity meter can have several registers: peak and off-peak, and with solar panels feed-in as well.

Type the reading, or take a photo

When you add a reading you pick the date and fill in the value per register; the previous reading is shown below it, and afterwards you see what you have used since. Quicker: take a photo of the meter and Domeaz reads the value and puts it in the right field. You check and save. Reading from a photo is free three times, unlimited with Premium; typing is always free.

When you move, the latest reading goes along

If you hand the home over to the new resident, the meters, meter numbers and the latest reading with its date go along, and they are in the home passport. Your earlier readings, and so your usage, stay with you.

Frequently asked questions

Is tracking meter readings free?
Yes. Adding meters and noting readings is free and unlimited. Having a reading read from a photo is free three times; with Premium it is unlimited.
Does it work with a dual-rate meter or solar panels?
Yes. For an electricity meter you choose the registers: one register, peak and off-peak, or peak and off-peak with feed-in. Each reading gets its own field.
What if my meter is replaced?
Then the new reading is lower than the previous one. Domeaz warns you about that, but you can simply save.
What happens to the photo of my meter?
The photo is only used to read the value and is not kept afterwards. The reading is done by an AI service; the privacy policy says exactly what is sent.
