Handing over your home records
At the key handover the new resident gets a pile of manuals and a story about the main water valve that they have forgotten a week later. With Domeaz you pass on the home's records with a single code: what is installed, when maintenance was done and where everything is.
You choose what goes along
Appliances with brand, serial number, warranty and manual, maintenance with its history, and the home information are on by default; documents, contacts and contracts are off. For each part you choose everything, a whole category or single items: the boiler yes, the television you are taking with you no. Amounts only go along if you switch that on, and your name and your housemates' names never do.
The new resident starts with a filled-in home
You share a code or link. The new resident enters it when creating a home and gets their own home in Domeaz with a copy of what you chose, including the meters with their latest reading and the reminders for warranty and maintenance. Your own home does not change, and you cannot get into theirs.
Or as a home passport on paper
The buyer does not have the app, or the estate agent asks for it? You share the same selection as a home passport: a PDF listing the home information (year built, energy label, where the main water valve is), the meter readings with their date, the appliances and the maintenance.

Frequently asked questions
- Does handing over home records cost anything?
- No. Creating a code, downloading the home passport and taking over records are free, for the previous and the new resident.
- Does the new resident see what I spent on the home?
- Only if you switch that on yourself. By default no amounts go along: not what a contract costs, not what you paid for maintenance, and appliance receipts stay behind too.
- How long is a handover code valid?
- Thirty days, and it works once. You can cancel it and create a new one.
- Can I still get into my old home afterwards?
- Yes. The handover is a copy; your own home stays as it was. If you no longer want it among your active homes, you archive it.
